Beyond the Macros
Macronutrients shape your nutrition. Micronutrients support what happens underneath.
Protein, carbohydrates, and fats provide the calories and building blocks your body needs. They’re a major part of how we approach nutrition at MacroRx+ — but they aren’t the whole picture.
Vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and other nutrients also play important roles in normal energy metabolism, immune function, recovery, and overall health.
Getting the macros right is important. Making sure the rest of your nutrition has a strong foundation matters, too.
The Bigger Nutrition Picture
Your body needs both macronutrients and micronutrients. They’re needed in very different amounts, but both are part of a well-rounded approach to nutrition.
Macronutrients
Protein • Carbohydrates • Fats
Needed in larger amounts, macronutrients provide energy and the building blocks your body uses for growth, repair, activity, and everyday function.
+
Micronutrients
Vitamins • Minerals • Other Nutrients
Needed in much smaller amounts, micronutrients support countless processes throughout the body, including normal energy metabolism, immune function, cellular health, and antioxidant protection.
Food First. Fill the Gaps When Needed.
Whole, minimally processed foods should be the foundation of good nutrition. A varied diet can provide an incredible range of vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, fiber, and other compounds your body needs.
Eating well doesn’t always mean eating perfectly.
Food preferences, busy schedules, calorie targets, training demands, and the realities of everyday life can make nutritional consistency challenging.
Even with a strong food-first approach, there may be times when targeted supplementation can help complement your diet and nutritional goals.
Supplements should do exactly that—supplement good nutrition, not replace it.
Why USANA?
Not all supplements are manufactured to the same standards. When I recommend a supplement, I want confidence in what’s actually in the bottle—and in the process used to make it.
Made With Greater Control
USANA manufactures much of its nutrition line in its own U.S. facility, giving it direct control over production and quality.
Independently Certified
USANA’s manufacturing facility is independently certified by NSF, with outside audits verifying rigorous manufacturing and quality standards.
Tested Every Step of the Way
Raw ingredients, materials during production, and finished products are tested to help verify identity, purity, and potency.
Beyond the Minimum
USANA goes beyond standard supplement requirements, also operating under FDA manufacturing requirements for over-the-counter drug products.
Those standards are why I chose USANA more than 20 years ago—and why I still recommend it today.
Experience matters, but longevity alone isn’t enough. The manufacturing standards, testing, science, and independent oversight behind the products are what have kept my confidence.
Start With the Foundation
You don’t need a cabinet full of supplements to build a strong nutritional foundation. I recommend starting with the essentials—then adding targeted nutrition based on your individual needs, diet, and goals.
MY PREFERRED STARTING POINT
HealthPak + BiOmega
Best if you want the simplest routine — pre-organized AM/PM packets plus BiOmega.
HealthPak organizes foundational nutrition into convenient AM and PM packets, making it easier to stay consistent without managing several different bottles. I’ve paired it with BiOmega to add EPA and DHA omega-3 fatty acids to the foundation.
AM packet • PM packet • BiOmega
PREFER INDIVIDUAL BOTTLES?
CellSentials + BiOmega
Best if you prefer traditional supplement bottles rather than pre-organized daily packets.
Prefer traditional bottles? CellSentials provides comprehensive vitamin, mineral, and antioxidant support, while BiOmega provides EPA and DHA omega-3 fatty acids.

These are my foundational recommendations, but USANA offers much more—from targeted nutrition and active nutrition to healthy foods, skincare, and other wellness products.
